I have already said in the home page I am a Manchester
United suppporter,even when they lose (just to frustrate
anybody who thinks I am a glory hunter) my favourite
player is David Beckham . I do not think Beckham cost us
the world cup but rather Simeone's play acting it is
notable that his play acting also got Arthur Numan, the
Dutch captain sent off in a similar way. His Argentinian
team mate Lopez tried to get new Manchester united player
Jaap Stam sent off by diving over his leg in the penalty
area. It seems as though the Argentinian football team
have spent more time taking acting and ballet lessons
than training for football. I do not blame David Batty
for Englands exit during the penalty shoot out because at
least his shot was on target as opposed to Stuart
Pearce's pathetic attempt in the 1990 world cup
competition where the ball never threatend the goal mouth
at all. |
